(EAH Legacy Day) Grace of a Swan

What happens when you realize that you have less than 24 hours to finish up a drawing for a contest? This.

But yeah - here's Cynthea's Legacy Day dress! I thought I would give her a slight masquerade look (giant glasses ftw), especially since such costumes tend to personify a type of animal or archetype. Since The Ugly Duckling, as he is her father, grows up to be a beautiful swan in the end, I gave her a bit of a swan motif (while giving her dress some color as well - for somewhat complicated reasons, she's a rebel).

As for anything else? Both this and her basic dress have netting on them as a way to subtly convey that she lives on a farm like her father did (because you know, fences? Mesh? Maybe it's just me). In the case you see here, its green(ish) coloring is also supposed to represent spring, the time where the story's ending takes place. The red-orange hem, sleeves and lipstick portray the colors of a swan's beak/feet, the feathers are self-explanatory, blah blah blah.

Also, her expression is kinda melancholy because I wanted to give her a "I know this is important, but is it really worth it?" look. Not sure if a success, but figures.

Anywho, yep! Cynthea and her purdy dress belong to me~
